Philosophy
Compassion. Clinical Excellence. Professionalism.
I founded Alpine Psychotherapy and Consulting with the belief that clients deserve to receive expert mental health services in a compassionate, caring, personable, and professional atmosphere.
One of the most common complaints that I hear from people is that their previous therapists or counselors “just listened and really didn’t help." Quite often they are unaware of what, if any, actual treatment goals they were working on, or what type of therapy they were receiving. Unfortunately, the mental health field is overrun with inadequate therapy/counseling that only scratches the surface of the presenting problems or uses “one size fits all” approaches. You won't find that to be the case with Alpine Psychotherapy and Consulting.
I believe that someone who has the courage to come talk to a therapist for help deserves to have a thorough, individualized treatment plan developed and followed. You deserve to have a professional who operates from a solid theoretical base and has expertise in the methods they are using. I take extra care and effort to accurately diagnose disorders and find the root causes of the symptoms people are experiencing; causes that may be previously unknown even to the client and/or overlooked by other professionals. It is important to me that we develop treatment goals that are mutually agreed upon, and that you have effective and research-proven therapies and techniques applied to achieve symptom resolution and goal completion. Along the way, additional resources or outside services that may also be helpful will be discussed.
People deserve to feel they are genuinely benefiting from therapy and their helping professional genuinely cares about them. I love the work that I do and consider it an absolute honor to be a part of my clients' wellness.
